                        Discussion: 

 

                            1.  Insurance not paid

                            2.  Subsidy for Bishop Guilfoyle not paid

           

            Finance Report – Joe Scarpa

 

                        Discussion:

 

                            1.  Christmas Collection – about $12,000.00,          

           

            Maintenance Report – John Ronco

 

                        Discussion:

 

                            1.  Everything in good shape right now.  When something breaks it is fixed.

                            2.  Tiles in hall are replaced as needed.

 

            Education – Yvonne Bacon

 

                        Discussion:

 

                            1st Reconciliation – Jan. 13, 2010, 6:15 at Corpus Christi.

 

           

            Spiritual Life Committee Report

 

                        Discussion:  No news.

 

           

OLD BUSINESS

 

 Merger Process.  A member of each core team committee will give an update on the progress of the merger.  Members who attended are:  Tom Deckard, Norm Trotter, Joan Nipe, Tony Rafine, John Ronco, Alfred Snyder, Olive Flitcraft, John Flitcraft, Ralph Parks, Marge Roeske, Wini Coney, Gerry Jones, Joan Dyer and Anna Brewer.

 

            Facility Committee - No decisions made yet.  Recommendations made by team.

            Staffing Committee - DRE position should be filled as soon as possible.  Fr. Harte has taken on the responsibility for

            hiring this position.

            Ministry Committee - Had a very pleasant meeting with Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors from each parish in merger. 

            It was a meeting just to get to know each other.

            Finance Committee - No representative.

            Liturgical Committee – After Easter schedule for 1 Priest and 1 Deacon (hopefully)

                       

                        Saturday 4:30 pm - Corpus Christi

                                        6:00  pm - Corpus Christi – Spanish

                                        11 am - Corpus Christi  

                                     

                                        4:30 pm - Queen of the Apostles

                                        9:30 am - Queen of the Apostles

                                        8:00 am – St. Mary’s           

                       

            Parish Life – Each parish will have their own closing celebration

                         Meeting January 9, 2010 – to discuss the closing of St. James.

            Naming Committee – Four names were sent to the Bishop for new parish name:

                          1.  Good Sheppard

                          2.  St. James & St. John

                          3.  St. Gabriel

                          4.  Mary, Mother of Christ

 

 

           

NEW BUSINESS

 

  1. Lenten Masses and Activities – Sharing the Lenten Masses and activities between the merging parishes.    

                       

                        a.  Letter is being sent by Fr. Dennis to Fr. Barry and Fr. Harte  to set up a  meeting to discuss the sharing of

                        Lenten Masses and activities.

                        b.  Fr. Dennis suggested Mass on Holy Saturday could be at Corpus Christi for the inception of RCIA

                        members into the church.

                  c.  Decided to have Stations of the Cross at Queen of the Apostles on Saturday mornings during Lent at 9:30

                  am.

                  d.  Will have Holy Week schedule out before Feb. 17, 2010, Ash Wednesday.  

     

 

2.  Queen of the Apostles Celebration

 

                        a.  Have our celebration in March

                        b.  First meeting of committee is 1/14/10, 7 pm.

                        c.  Members of committee are:  Julie Acton, Tom Deckard, Norm Trotter,  Joan Dyer, Anna Brewer, Joan

                        Nipe, Alfred Snyder, Olive Flitcraft,  Ralph Parks, Lisa Lloyd, Wini Coney, Pat Demarest, Doris Hanna and
